Dominion in East Africa

Dominion's early entry and its strong local partners have enabled the company to gain a significant acreage holding in East and Central Africa. The company has 48,230 square kilometres (11.91 milllion acres) under four Production Sharing Agreements ('PSA's') in Tanzania. These include four licences onshore - Mandawa, Kisangire and Lukuliro (both under the Kisangire PSA) and Selous - and one licence offshore - Block 7. Dominion also has a licence for 1,010 square kilometres (0.25 million acres) in Uganda (Block 4B), in the Albertine Rift Basin, the site of almost thirty recent oil discoveries. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominion Petroleum will operate the exploration activity of Block 5, which incorporates 7,346 square kilometres (1.82 million acres) of land and lake areas.
